I recently had an issue with a video program that locked up my PC. I had to use the power button to shut it down. After I restarted, "regular" Everything didn't work. I had Everything 1.5 alpha installed with whatever updates it had.
When I tried to reinstall the "regular" Everything, it overwrote 1.5 alpha. I searched (I assume alpha no longer exists) and installed Version 1.5.0.1423b (x64), which overwrote "regular" Everything. They keep overwriting each other.
I forgot what the differences are and why I needed to have both installed. Do I need both versions if I have 1.5.0.1423b installed? I need to batch-rename filenames that aren't the same. I know the "regular" version of Everything cannot do that.
How do I have both versions installed the way they were before if I need both?

Review the Everything 1.5a Alpha - Upgrade Guide.

No.

When you say "both", do you mean 1.5a & 1.5b, or 1.4 & 1.5b?
(I don't use the installers, but...)
backup your settings
If you want 1.4 & 1.5b, I can't recall, but I suppose it's mentioned in the link above?
If you want both 1.5a & 1.5b (which I would think to be atypical), thinking I would uninstall both, then install 1.5a, then install 1.5b - into a different directory. That should leave you with both (again not really seeing any reason to keep 1.5a around).
If you want only 1.5b, thinking uninstall both, then install 1.5b.

I don't remember since it was so long ago, and I've updated many times.therube wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2026 7:43 pm Review the Everything 1.5a Alpha - Upgrade Guide.

For now, I'll go with 1.5.0.1423b (x64). Thanks.
