Whatever happened to searching by file tags?

I have certain files that I need to search by tags, yet Everything by default doesn't do that. Doing a quick google search I came upon this topic viewtopic.php?t=9877 fom 2021 where you say the ability is coming in version 1.5.

I see we are still in 1.4 now, but has the ability of searching by file tags been introduced and if so, how do I activate it?

Hi,
As you can see in the post you linked to (in the 2nd post), it is possible to search for “Tags” in Everything 1.5 Alpha since 2021.

If you want to try this out, then use the latest version from here.
Please also see the link in my signature: Switching from Everything 1.4 to 1.5.

Here is an example:
Right-click on a column header > Add Columns... > Search: tags > OK
You can find more detailed instructions with pictures in the topic “Properties” (pls see link in my signature or link in the "2nd post"...).
