[solved] Easier access to exclude folder

Post by moe2 »

I'd like a button (or command that is typed into the search bar as if it were a shell) that adds or removes a particular folder from the total set of files to be searched. Ideally this would could be aliased into a two-stage script, where one folder is added and another excluded, and then vice versa.

Currently the way to do it is to open settings, click excluded, manually add and delete folders.

Obviously, this would be used to exclude the porn folder from a SFW search, or vice versa, only search the porn folder.

If what you don't want to show is in particular directories, or of particular file types, you could...

set up a Search filter
use separate instances

Like if you didn't want to see videos, at all, !video:.
Or for the separate instance, if what you didn't want was on say drive X:, then you could Indexes, Exclude folder X:.
