I've searched the options but can't find any setting indicating when Everything indexes files.
I want to configure it so indexing only occurs at idle, I suspect it's already doing since there's no configuration, just want to make sure.
thanks
When does Everything index files, at idle?

As far as i understand, Indexing files is done in RAM in real-time.
The .db only gets written to disk when you exit Everything.
File Lists or similar would be different as would be a Force Rebuild.

The db is committed upon exit, from windows? Closing the Everything search window does not exit the app. Not sure what you mean, exactly.
Where did you get that info?
