I have a .db file from before an HDD of mine crashed.
I want to know what was on that HDD, and I know the .db file I have has the drive indexed.
I cant however seem to get Everything to show me the contents of the .DB file by just changing the Database Location to the folder that contains the Everything.db file.
is there any way to view the contents of the Everything.DB file so i can see what was on the drive?
View DB

Re: View DB
Sorry to hear about the HDD crash.
Please backup your Everything.db ASAP.
What version of Everything are you running?
Everything 1.4: database recovery tool
Everything 1.5: File menu -> Open File List -> Select your Everything.db backup

Re: View DB
Wow that was a quick response. thank you!
The database recovery tool let me view the data that was on the drive (very easy and intuitive to use)
Lucky for me, now that I know what was on the drive, I can redownload all of it, nothing was irreproducible data.
Thank you very much! it's really frustrating to not know what exactly was on a drive that no longer spins up, so it would have been itching my brain for days if i didnt have the everything.db file.
(I really should make backups)
