This is more of a report in case someone has the same issue.
On my 2 windows 10 machines (with extended support
), windows has been asking what application should open files after a double click.Everything appeared on top of the list (new program) and this was happending for every extension including common ones (eg. docx associated with word forever).
It's quite annoying so I searched, asked AI and removing the following registry key solved it:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\Everything.exe
I haven't seen side effect.
I was runnning 1416b and 1422b when that happened and perhaps older versions (some updates did not fix it).
Don't know if 1423b solved it (I don't see any related mention in the changelog).
