would that make sense? maybe not? might not even be a clean method to code it?

then, if you wanted to strip the <sp> (in the "name-part")
you could use something like this in New Format:

would something like that make sense?

case, while ignored in the generated format: (& hence "irrelevant" in the Old format:)
would not be ignored in the the New format:

if, New format: JTTAAB, all will be named as such, including that 1 lowercase file name
if, New format: JTTaab, all will be named as such (mixed)
if, New format: jttaab, all will be named as such (lower)


Might not make sense, particularly, even if it could be useful, or at least, clearer, possibly?

The generated formats match case.

There's too much guess work as to what the format should be if you were to ignore case.
should the format be:
Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick - %1
or
jethro tull thick as a brick - %1

You could guess that Jethro is more common so use that, but it's still a guess.

To avoid any confusion, and because it's useful for fixing case mismatches, Everything will generate formats using case sensitivity.



You can check Ingore case and set the old format to:

Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick - %1

and the new format to:

Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick - %1

But the auto generated format will never do this.
