I'm not sure if Everything is the tool I need, but I'm looking for a replacement of "Locate32" that I've used for years. I simply want to build an index on the server from a given share, be able to exclude folders in that share, and have the local client machines/users search the index database that is generated/located on the server.
I've read the install instructions and have Everything running on the server indexing a "Network Drive" that appears in the "Mapped network drives" window, and it excludes the folders I've specified. I think all I need to figure out is how to get the clients Everything to search the server side index database. This is where I'm lost as the instructions don't appear to explicitly discuss this. Locate32 made that step easy, not so much with Everything, unless I'm just overlooking the obvious.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.
