I am not sure I understand how everything saves it's list of files and folders and paths. My Unraid server crashed, and I probably lost some data. I had previously setup Everything to read the Unraid share as a big drive, and Everything still shows results of file searches even though I have the server shut down right now as I work on it.
I would like to see what data I may have lost from the Unraid server crash. I thought the file / folder / location data was saved in the everything.db file, and thought I could save a 'snapshot' (for lack of better name) and compare it to a snapshot made after I have Everything re-scan the server.
Is it a matter of comparing one 'everything.db' file (from appdata/local/Everything} to a newer file in some program? Or am I thinking this incorrectly?
Thanks in advance
Compare snapshot of files vs later snapshot (db file?)

Re: Compare snapshot of files vs later snapshot (db file?)
Sorry to hear about the server crash.
Please make a backup of your Everything.db as soon as possible.
If the server files/folders are still visible in Everything, please do a EFU file list export:
To save the filenames as text from your Everything.db from Everything 1.4:
Please use the db2efu tool.
To save the filenames as text from your Everything.db from Everything 1.5:
I use WinDiff to compare EFU file lists.
Everything has basic options to compare file lists.
