Although I do think meaningfully picked icons are a great visual aid, sourcing and choosing icons can be a lot of work and I personally I would welcome a setting to hide icons in the Bookmarks panel. As a nice side effect, a few pixels of horizontal GUI real estate are reclaimed..
BTW David, I'm loving the 1.5 update, so many useful features. Your creativity, ingenuity and attention to detail are limitless. Thank you!
