I’m using Everything (Voidtools) and I’m trying to build advanced regex queries for large MP3 collections. However, many expressions fail or return no results. I would appreciate clarification on the supported regex subset and best practices for filename searching.

Example:
filename:regex:^(?:10824[4-9]|1082[5-9][0-9]|108[3-9][0-9]{2}|109[0-9]{3}|11[0-9]{4}|12[0-7][0-9]{3}|128[0-4][0-9]{2}|1285[0-6][0-9]|12857[0-3]).*[Aa][Cc].*[Ba][78][Dd][Jj].*\.mp3$

I have already entered hundreds of different regexes and it always shows 0 items if I combine different strings included in the file name and regex range etc.

Make sure Match Path is unchecked under the Search menu or try without the ^ prefix in your regex pattern.

Do you have an active filter or any options enabled under the Search menu?
