Help with enabling file view toggle

I have Everything on 4 different machines now, and only some of them show this toggle between detail and large icon views on the lower right corner of the window. I can't quite remember how to get them enabled on other machines and would appreciate some help.

please try the following:
Options 1.5 Advanced > statusbar_view > Value for statusbar_view: true
