Everything 64 renamed?

Post by harryray2 »

I've just downloaded Everything 1400a 64 bit....Has Everything been renamed to Everything.exe from Everyting64.exe?

I haven't updated for a while, so I just want to make sure it's the 64 bit I've downloaded.

Thanks.

Thanks David.

For various reasons the drop down arrow on the right of the search box isn't always visible, and I have to move the window.
Would it be possible to have an option (if it doesn't already exist, to move the arrow to the left?

Everything doesn't have an option to move the drop down arrow button.

Please try Alt + Down to show search history.

With the change of the name of Everything64.exe to Everything.exe I was 'unable' to update the program until I repeated the update a couple of times after the first time and then delved deeper into what was going on.

The update contributed Everything.exe beside Everything64.exe, yet my desktop shortcuts and scripts referred to Everything64.exe Those I corrected.

Indeed, Total Commander continued to link to Everything64.exe - probably within wincmd.ini - and so, the alert that there was an update available kept appearing.
The line in wincmd.ini, mutatis mutandis:
Everything="C:\Program Files\Everything 1.5a\Everything64.exe" -close
...needed the 64 to be removed.

If anyone else is wondering why the apparent non-update occurs, this could well be the reason.
