I right-clicked a floder and chose 'everything'.
I got the everything window, with the folder path in the search-box.
I typed my search text after the path and hit enter.
Nothing appeared in the results.
I checked the folder and confirmed there is a file with the same name as the search text.
During install, i disabled everything service, 'run as admin', and 'index fixed drives'. Won't everything index the selected folder during the search?
thx

Re: No Search Results
Everything only searches what is indexed.Won't everything index the selected folder during the search?
Unfortunately, the context menu item "Search in Everything" doesn't know if the location is indexed or not.
Add the drive to your index under Tools -> Options -> NTFS.
If the drive is not an NTFS volume, add it under Tools -> Options -> Folders.
Re: No Search Results
Is it possible to do ad-hoc indexing on just one folder as needed?
Re: No Search Results
Everything is not really designed to do this.
There is Index This from NotNull.
Everything is designed to index everything..
