It would be great there was an ability to sub-sort results. For example, often times I need to. batch/bulk select random scattered files from a list of results. It gets to a point where I need to refine the results sorting to continue adding result files to the select. If I sort, the selected results will get mixed back into the full results.
It would be great if there was a way to "pin" selected results at the top, and clicking column headers sorts the rest of the unselected results. Even if this sorted the top pinned results group at the same time (so two separate groups, selected results pinned to at the top; the rest of the results below).
Perhaps Ctrl-clicking a column header activates "Results sub-sort" or "Results Split-sort" groupings, a temporary mode similar to the temporary "DUPE" functionality (which I love and rely on frequently).

Re: Results split-sorting (compound sub-sorting results)
I will consider a sub-sort feature.
Thank you for the suggestion.
For now, if there's not many files, please try:
duplicating a tab (right click the menu bar or tabcontrol and click Duplicate tab)
Right-click drag-drop the selected files/folders to the search box and click Search whole filename.
Sort the files as desired.
If there's many files, please try:
Copy the filenames from the current selection (Ctrl + Shift + C)
Create a new tab and search for:
Right click filelist1: and click Edit File List Slot...
Paste your filenames and click OK.
Sort the files as desired.
