As per title, indexing a property only for a set of files, excludes the display of the said property in the related column in the result list for files which are not included in the indexing of the property. "E" doesn't attempt to gather it and the column shows empty.
On selection, the property shows normally in the status-bar.
In my case I am referring to "Height" property, enabling indexing only for vids results in loss of height column values for picture files.
User Restictions in Properties Indexing results in disabling display in Columns
Re: User Restictions in Properties Indexing results in disabling display in Columns
Support might be added in a future version to also gather and show unindexed information.
Instead of just indexed information.
It will likely have to be an option because it will hurt performance.
For now, include image files in your height property index.

Re: User Restictions in Properties Indexing results in disabling display in Columns
Thanks for your reply. Another somewhat conflicting peculiarity which doesnt worth a new thread:
if you have icon_use_thumbnails=1, and icon_include_only_files defined, icon thumbnail will load on all files ignoring icon_include_only_files and perhaps(didnt test) affected only by thumbnail_include_only_files setting.
I think it would make sense to obey to icon_include_only_files setting.
Just bringing this to your attention.

When showing icons as thumbnails, Everything will use the thumbnail rules. (thumbnail_include_only_files)
Everything is not loading icons as thumbnails.
Everything has a separate icon database and a separate thumbnail database.
The rules are applied when icons/thumbnails are loaded. Not when they are shown. So applying icon rules to thumbnails would break viewing results as thumbnails.
