came up when I attempted to open a second search winddow.
Kind of an odd error becvcause the only option appears to be to click the OK button. This was the result of a long running query looking for text in a file that got interrupted because I forgot it was running and atrempted to open a new search window although I'm not sure why it didn't just open a new window without wanting to interact with an executing window? I clicked the X in the corner. It's oddly not what I wanted to do. Maybe if I hadn't been paying attention I might have clicked OK.
Not sure what happened but there weare 3 windows open. The only one I could interact with was the error message which allowed me to click the X. The other 2 search windows were locked up. I couldn't even get a screen shot but neither was showing any data. Now my screen capture app is locked up.
I checked my settings regrding what was set if clicking in system tray
I thought there was another setting regarding opening new searches but I couldn't seem to find it. Seems to me it should have opened the 2nd search window like it was the first. I tested to see if vI'd get the same outcome. The 2nd click in the status tray opened a new Everything search as it should then the "error" popped up which I don't think should happen. At that point both of the search windows werer locked up.
Cancel current query?
Re: Cancel current query?
It's a limitation with Everything.
Only one search can be performed at a time.
