Apologies in advance, I'm not Mr. Computer whiz. Some of the info I'm sharing may not be useful to diagnose the problem.
Background:
I am using everything on my work PC. Downloaded it about a week ago and have used it 2-4 times so far. Has always worked great.
The vast majority of the files I need to search through are connected through 2 NTFS network drives. I added the drives to the folder list, since they didn't show up on the local NTFS volume list. We have like 50 people working in the office and the drives together total 12 Tb's so I unchecked "Attempt to monitor Changes" and have it rescanning every day at 3am. That felt best for my use case.
Today, I went to search for a specific file. The easiest way for me to find it was to search for all the files with the extension ".ctb". When I searched for that extension either through *.ctb or endwith:.ctb the only results I get begin with special characters. Specifically "(" "-" and the numbers 0-4. The file I was looking for was not listed. It begins with a "K"
I found the file I was looking for manually. Went back to everything and I am able to find the folder that contains the file but not the file itself. I'm not sure whether I am doing something wrong in my search, I didn't set everything up correctly, or something is bugged. Any support would be appreciated. Thanks!
Only Special Character Search Results Showing
Re: Only Special Character Search Results Showing
What version of Everything are you using? (Help -> About Everything)
Please make sure no search options are checked under the Search menu (eg: uncheck match case, uncheck match whole words, uncheck regex)
Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.
Please make sure these files are not excluded from Tools -> Options -> Exclude.
Was the ctb file starting with K created recently?
-Maybe Everything is not rescanning.
Is the computer on at 3am?
If a scheduled rescan is missed, one is started as soon as you start Everything.
It might take Everything a very long time to rescan your network drives.
If the computer is not on long enough for the rescan to complete, Everything may never update..
Please try a manual rescan:

Please try a manual rescan:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Folders tab on the left.
- Select your network drive and click Rescan Now.
- [Rescanning] is shown next to the folder being rescanned.
--Please check this throughout the day and see if it ever completes.
-Does the rescan ever complete?
Re: Only Special Character Search Results Showing
I did a manual rescan and it told me that database was corrupt.
After a full rescan the files are now showing correctly.
Thanks for the help!
