sids, &sid=, maybe old sids are breaking links

sids, &sid=, maybe old sids are breaking links, or something like that, I think.

Like if you started from sid-ified link, you'd be redirected to a 403 page.

ucp.php?mode=login&redirect=search.php% ... ics&sid=1d
(resultant link starting from an existing &sid= page & attempting to log in)

(I suppose some recent change was made to the board, so if you started from an old link that included a sid, you might end up at a 404 similar to above.)

Removing the sid= "fixes" things.

The site is getting flooded with malicious requests by a botnet.

I had to shutdown forum access temporarily to keep the basic site up.
