Everything stopped finding some files and folders...

Hi,

Everything stopped finding some files and folders on one of my external HDD, some of the files & folders of that drive appear but many dont... i uninstalled, updated version, unplugged an replugged HDD... to no avail... I don't know what to do! and I miss this so useful tool!

Please make sure no search options are checked under the Search menu (eg: uncheck match case, uncheck match whole words, uncheck regex)

Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.

Please make sure these files are not excluded from Tools -> Options -> Exclude.



Please make sure your external drive is included in your index:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Folders tab on the left.
• Click Add....
• Select your external drive and click OK.
• Click OK.

Please try forcing a rebuild:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Click Force Rebuild.
• Click OK.

Yeah, thanks for support! I added the drive and it works now... strangely it was working before without adding it but anyway I'm fine now!

you can also use rescan all now to quickly search missing drives and files
