Hi there! I'm not really asking for support or anything, just super curious about what this software can do for the
slightly above average user. I tried the official documentation first, but there are so,
so many search functions and honestly I feel like most of them are of no use unless I'm a huge media collector or something like that, but maybe I'm not seeing things clearly. I then started to regularly check topics on this forum, old and new, to collect use cases for inspiration, but a lot of them, mostly questions, get really technical and far from any use I can give, like server stuff or photography properties.
So far, I've obviously used Everything to find files (
very) quickly, and from time to time to sort them all by size to free up my hard drive. I found the
dupe:
function interesting, so I tried it out, thinking it would be a feature that would suit my level of "data hoarder", but most of the results were Windows files that I shouldn't be messing with, so I'm not sure I'll be doing that again. I collect pictures, movies and to a lesser extent music (I'm on Spotify these days), but it doesn't seem like anything too big to have unnoticed duplicates.
I'm sure there is more I can do to juice up Everything, I'm all ears for untechie use cases.
