Indexing an External USB Drive

Hi! I installed the beta version of Everything v1.5 and noticed a strange issue — some files appear twice in the index. Upon investigating, I found that this only happens on drives connected to the computer via a USB hub. At first, I thought it might be because they were formatted as exFAT. To test this, I reformatted one of the drives to NTFS, but the problem persisted. So I concluded that the issue is specifically that the drives are connected via a USB hub.
I didn’t notice this issue while I was using Everything v1.4.
Is there any way to fix this “duplication”?
OS: Windows 11

I specifically created a new folder called “Test” on one of these drives and copied the Everything install file an External USB Drive
thing installer file into it. It immediately appeared twice in the index.

Please check if you are indexing the H: drive as a volume index and folder index:

If the H: drive is exFAT:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the FAT tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and check Include in database.
• Click the NTFS tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and click Remove.
• Click the Folders tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and click Remove.

If the H: drive is NTFS:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the FAT tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and click Remove.
• Click the NTFS tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and click check Include in database.
• Click the Folders tab on the left.
• Select your H: drive and click Remove.

Does the issue persist?

Thanks for your help! Indeed, Drive H was included in both the list of monitored folders and the list of monitored volumes. I followed your advice and removed that drive from the list of monitored folders. Now the drive appears only in the list of mounted volumes, and the index now contains only one occurrence of each file.
Drive H was formatted as NTFS, but I did the same thing with another external drive, G, which had the same problem but was formatted as exFAT. The index for that drive is now displaying normally as well.
