Everything 1.5 Alpha change options triggered restart + indexing = UI gone

as a first time user starting with 1.5.0.1408a. UI disappeared while process is still running when I changed and apply some options that triggered Everything to restart while it's indexing and building DB. this continues until indexing is completed

I suspect there was no crash since process is still running with high HDD I/O

thought this was a bug. looks like Everything can't terminate while indexing. changing options triggered immediate restarts without any prior hint or warning that killed the UI but indexing task continued for more than 35 minutes. eventually, Everything process terminated and UI showed up which completes the restart process from options changing

Changing the following settings will trigger a restart:
Language
Run as administrator
UI Scale
Enable plugins

Did you change one of these settings?

Everything will wait until indexing completes before restarting.
The UI and tray icon will close immediately.
I have put on my TODO list to show a *requires a restart next to the ok/apply buttons.

That is possible.
If you Quit Everything, (or I suppose ? if Everything had crashed ?), & the indexing hadn't yet completed, & the .db written out to disk.
