Moving drop down arrow

Post by peterreyn11 »

A bit of an odd request, due to a slight disability I have trouble with the drop down arrow in the search bar being on the right.
Would it be at all possible to have a way of moving the arrow to the left?

Thank you.

Is this is the dropdown arrow on the Searchbar that you're speaking of (rather then the Filter Bar)?

There's no option to move the drop down arrow in the search box to the left.
It is always right aligned.

Please consider Alt + Down to show the dropdown list.

This might be a more recent default?
If so one may have to use restore defaults to get the keybind for it..Or find out which one is for the drop-down.

You can also just select the search bar and then arrow down.
ctrl_open_search_action in settings can be set to existing window, I think this is the one that causes the search bar to remain focused on a search.
Clicking in the results list still removes focus but it's helpful for only searching without mouse input.

I think he meant as an addition, but if I had to guess you use some Windows thing so unless Windows supports it..
And if it's possible to code it in yourself, it would surely take time away from doing any other part of the project if you currently rely on Windows.

I haven't checked if this is on Linux, but I presume it couldn't be if so much of it relies on Windows stuff..Unless it could be translated somehow.

Alt + Down has always been the default key to show the search history.

You can customize the keyboard shortcut under Tools -> Options -> Keyboard -> Search Edit | Show All Search History
