I cannot search my network drives in Windows 11

Post by mahirgul »

Hi guys,
When using Windows 10, I could search my mapped network drives.
But now I'm using Windows 11 and I can't add my mapped network drives to the folders section.
Version 1.4.1.1030 (x64) Portable version
It works with the administrator user, but not with the Windows service.

Do I need to upgrade to version 1.5?

You will be unable to see your mapped network drives if you run Everything as administrator.

Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab on the left.
  • Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
  • Uncheck Run as administrator.
  • Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
  • Click OK.
  • Exit Everything (from the File menu, click Exit).
  • Restart Everything.

To add your mapped network drive to your Everything index:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Folders tab on the left.
  • Click Add....
  • Select your mapped network drive and click OK.
  • Click OK.
