First of all, I love Everything. It has been incredibly useful for finding files for my team, helping with reports on file sizes and directories, and exporting trimmed down file lists for backups. Thank you for your great work on this app.
Now on to my issue - I have a NAS full of Premiere Pro video projects that is used by several people. It is added to Everything is a Network Drive (mapped as a letter).
The date modified field on Premiere files (ext .prproj) is not being updated when a Premiere project is saved or updated. It used to update instantly, and it was fantastic. The instant updates are the main issue.
Now when a project is saved, the file list in Everything dims for several seconds, then reactivates, but the modified dates on prproj files still remain in the past.
I can confirm that it's only with prproj files because, as I speak, I am watching new image files (jpg, jpeg, png) appear in the file list as they are created by other users, with modified dates reflecting in the present.
I am on 1.5.0.1404a (x64). I have "attempt to monitor changes" checked, as well as fast rescan every 10 minutes. It seems to update the file list properly according to the rescan schedule, but it is no longer instant like it once was. Rescanning and indexing are complete.
Thank you!!

Thank you for your feedback ylwsub68,
Please send a debug log:
Please send a debug log:
- In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Start Debug Logging....
- Save a Premiere project.
- Let Everything sit for 1 minute to capture any timeouts.
- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Stop Debug Logging....
---This will open your %TEMP%\Everything Debug Log.txt in Notepad. - Could you please upload this file in a bug report.
Re: Date modified on files not updating instantly
When I saw this topic title, I felt prompted to comment. I have been seeing this for a long time, maybe a year. Not just VT Everything though. Also Windows Explorer and, if I remember correctly, the File Open dialog. Didn't notice if it was specific file type but it's possible because I work with a limited number of file types. By default, I had attributed it to yet another vagary of MS Windows (11 Pro x64).
p.s. I too love VT Everything. It's the basis for managing my workflow and curating old projects.
p.p.s my project files are on a high speed external ssd connected to a thunderbolt hub connected to a thundrbolt 4 port.

Re: Date modified on files not updating instantly
I have submitted a bug report after following your instructions. I watched as the prproj file I saved did not move to the top of the list (sorted by date modified descending), and did not have its modified date updated.
johnbo33 - I don't think I've seen the file list dimming behavior in Windows Explorer but I will definitely watch for that and see if it's happening to me too.

Thank you for the log.
