Everything v1.4.1.1030 (x64) locking up

Hey folks! I was hoping someone could give me some help in diagnosing an issue I've been dealing with for a number of months now. About every 24/48 hours or so, I can count on everything locking up and no longer maximizing and showing its screen. When I hover its icon on the taskbar, I see a notice that the program has stopped responding.

I can close it and reopen it and its comes back up, but since it is indexing my unRAID server that has about 200 TB of storage, it can take a while to become ready to search again.

I am running everything on:

• Windows 11 25H2 x64
  Ryzen 7 7700x
  64g DDR4
  2TB nVME drive
  NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 w/12g RAM

The machine is rarely overloaded in my day to day use so I'm not sure what might be causing this other than having everything index a large amount of files and/or that the files are indexed over a 1gb network connection.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this are welcome!

Please send a mini crash dump when Everything is not responding:

• Please keep the crash dialog open.
• Download Process Explorer from Microsoft:
  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer
• In Process Explorer, select Everything64.exe (If there is two, select the one using the most memory)
• Right click Everything64.exe and under Create Dump, select Create Mini Dump.
• Choose a filename and click Save.
• Please upload this file in an anonymous bug report.

The lockup is most likely caused by processing a rescan.

Are a lot of changes being made to your server?
Perhaps Everything is struggling with the scheduled rescan.

Please try disabling the daily rescan under Tools -> Option -> Folders -> (for each unRAID server share) -> Change to Never rescan.
See if the lockup persists, if it doesn't it's likely related to this rescan.



Everything will process ALL changes from a rescan in one go, it may take several minutes to do this and Everything will appear frozen.
Everything 1.5 will process changes in the background.

I made the changes to the rescan and I'll keep an eye on it to see if it crashes after the changes.
