"Search in Everything - New Window" losing path

Post by Coldblackice »

I love the right-clicking of results (and even results pathing) and being able to search deeper, especially being able to do so in a new tab so that current search results aren't lost.

I just tried doing this with the "New Window" function so that I could have separate windows to look between concurrently (vs. tabbing), but when the new window opens, it isn't populated with any path, it's just a fresh/default window -- the tab where this was launched from instead gets its path changed to what the new window should have.

Apologies if this is due to a setting I've inadvertently tweaked.

Are you using File -> New Window?
File -> New Window will create a new window and use your Tools -> Options -> Home settings.
Consider setting Home -> Search to (use last value)

Opening a folder in a new window:

Right click the menu bar or tabcontrol and click Duplicate tab
Drag the duplicated tab outside the window.

Right click in the path column -> Parent folder -> Shift-click Search in Everything.
Right click a folder -> Shift-click Search in Everything.

Tools -> Options -> Context menu -> Search in Everything (New Window) is setting the path in the wrong window.

I will have a fix soon.
