Open Everything, having tabs ON.
File Explorer > right click on a folder > search
A new tab is opened in Everything. All OK.
But the first tab, which was unused it's still there.
Is there any option to close automatically this first unused tab when opening a new search?
Like when you open a text editor with a default new empty file and then open a TXT file by double click in File Explorer which closes this first empty document automatically.
Close empty tab
Re: Close empty tab
What text editor are you using?
I don't see this behavior in Notepad, Firefox or Chrome.

Re: Close empty tab
What happens if you repeat that process - with an existing file open instead of a new empty file?Like when you open a text editor with a default new empty file and then open a TXT file by double click in File Explorer which closes this first empty document automatically.
Do that second "open" (from File Explorer) replace the existing or does it open in a new tab, leaving existing as is?
And in the same manner, I'd expect that "open in new tab", would do just that, leaving an existing tabs as is, even if they happened to be "blank" (no actual search term).
