Help - Troubleshooting information - columns= | columns width in Session.json

Hi,

I am not sure WHEN the NEW (current) column widths are displayed in the ‘Troubleshooting Information’
or whether they are displayed under this menu item at all.

Example:
Switching from the default view (A) via shortcut with a bookmark to another view (B) with partially different columns.
The “Help” menu > Troubleshooting Information still shows the column widths from the standard view (A) at this point.
Even after restarting with File Exit ALT+F4 or /restart, I cannot find the new column widths (B) in this menu.

However, I have managed to see the new column widths (B) after switching views several times.
I don't know what triggers this, but at this point in Everything Options - 1.5.0.1399a (x64) > Home,
the columns from view (B) were displayed instead of the columns from the default view (A).
(I tried to recreate it again, but I haven't been able to do so yet despite many attempts).

The column widths from the Custom columns view (B) are displayed in the Session.json file.
In one exceptional case, the column widths from the default view (A) were also displayed.
The “Session.json” file is updated immediately whenever the column view is changed.
A manual update would also be possible as follows:

C:\Everything\Everything.exe -update

(example path!).
In this case, the following files would also be updated: Everything.db, Everything.ini, Search History.csv.

Questions:
1. Can the column widths of a new view be displayed in the Troubleshooting Information menu?
    If so, how?
2. For me, it currently looks like this:
    a) DEFAULT VIEW column widths: Menu ‘Help’ > ‘Troubleshooting Information’
    b) NEW VIEW ('Custom columns view') - column widths values: Session.json!
    Can you please confirm this?

My reference:
- Bookmark: ALT+Y   Default/Standard view
- Bookmark: ALT+F6 'Custom columns view' - Everything Version No.
                              (Columns, e.g. Name;Product Version;Target Machine;Digital Signature Timestamp)

How are you setting the columns with view (B)?

Are you using a filter to change the columns or are you using

columns:

in your search?
-If so, Everything will use temporary search columns
Temporarily search columns are not shown under Help -> Troubleshooting information.



Otherwise, Help -> Troubleshooting information will reflect the current active window columns.

I did not use a filter, and the “Everything” filter was never changed.

I switched between different 'Custom columns views' and the 'Default view' using bookmarks:

/columns [

and mainly using shortcuts for the bookmarks.

I have provided an example here (points 1-4).

For example, I did NOT enter such a command in the Everything search bar and pressed ENTER:
columns:name;path;size;date-modified;width;height;length
- OR -
/columns name;path;size;date-modified;width;height;length

In both cases, “Help” > Troubleshooting Information >

columns=[

does NOT match the columns displayed (OK!).
In such a case, however, all of the defined columns for the “Default view” were no longer displayed for me,
because the column 'File List Filename' is no longer included. “Help” > "Troubleshooting information" has been changed!
The columns are displayed correctly in the ‘Session.json’ file.

In Everything 1.5.0.1399a (x64), I always get the correct column widths with

/columns [

,

columns:

,

/columns

and Session.json.

I used the ‘Canonical Name’:

File List Name

and from that point on, everything worked as expected for me!
{"name":"File List Name","width":178} works with

/columns=[

and

/columns [

The display in ‘Troubleshooting Information’ is now also correct:
The column widths for the 'Default view' are always displayed here!

Just one more question about the column label “File List Name”:
Could you please make it possible to select this column via “Add Columns...”?

File List Filename in your screenshot is already File List Name.

File List Filename in your screenshot is just the localized name.
Possibly coming from an old Everything 1.4 lng file?

I'm sorry, I used the Everything 1.4 language file.
After deleting the ‘Everything.lng’ file, I could immediately see the current column label ‘File List Name’.
