files not showing up in search

I love Everything. I use it more than Windows Explorer.
I brag about it to everyone!!
I have over 45 year IT experience, mostly programming in different languages.
Is there a
A bug in everything V 1.5 a latest version?
I upload screenshots.
On first laptop, I tried to search of the word "slide" using v 1.4.1 and it works.
But on my other computer running 1.5.0 and later upgraded it to 1.5a , it can't find it.
The "Folders" options looks the same on both computer - but re-scanning does not find files and folders with the word "slide"

Please make sure no search options are checked under the Search menu (eg: uncheck match case, uncheck match whole words, uncheck regex)

Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.

Please make sure these files are not excluded from Tools -> Options -> Exclude.



Does the issue persist?
-Does Everything find the folder "a intro $37" with a search for:

a intro $37

-Does Everything list files if you search for:

"\a intro $37"

-If the file is listed, maybe there's some funky hidden unicode character..

Interesting that a Rescan Now doesn't pickup the file..

Hi,
I followed all your steps suggested.
No luck still.
Everything on my HP running 1.4.1 works to show all files.
In contrast, my lenovo running 1.5.1a is missing files.
I have used Everything app for over 10 years.
I’m able to find "a intro $37" folder in my HP laptop, but not in my Lenovo. This folder resides in google drive which is indexed in both laptops. Almost all items in my google drive can be found except for "a intro $37" folder and “slides”. I’m sure there is more missing, but I’m using these 2 folders as examples.

I have over 45 years programming experience, including Unix and windows scripting

both laptops have similar search options :
I'm using NTFS for C drive only.
I'm using Folders to include G: google drive

I reran Tools> options > folders >rescan for 10th time on Lenovo.
Now it is showing my 1slide and "a intro $37".
