File List feature explanation

I am trying to get acquainted with this feature, but that viewtopic.php?t=10633 has a lot of technicalities and I do not think it explain plainly enough how to use it for dummies like me. So I will start with basics concern and some remarks:


There is the

Tools > File List Editor...

It evokes a window that differs in style from other windows of Everything - but it is possible to leave it open and go back to the main window, select some items, switch back to this File List Editor window and then drag & drop to it the still held selection


But then there is also the

Edit File List 9

window, which is accessible if users write in the Search Edit box

and then execute in that expressions field right-click and chooses

Edit File List Slot...

This window does not differ in style from others - but does diverge in behavior: because when it is present then users are blocked from being able to accessing back the main window [other windows like Filters are still accessible by switching to them]


And so, the basic questions would be:

1] Are the list produced and managed in the two windows the same lists?

2] Is it possible to access directly list #9 through the Editor from Tools?

3] Why does the syntax allow only 10 such lists?
