I have some files in Onedrive for fast sharing between my computer and mobile phone.
When I search for a Excel file in Everything UI and click in the results list to open it, Excel opens it but the Autosave button comes OFF and when I click to move to ON, Excel says I have to upload it to Onedrive.
If I click in the file name through Windows Explorer, this problems does not occur and this happens with every Office Document.
Not sure the issue is in Onedrive or in the way Everything opens the file.
Any help is appreciated. tks
1. The results list
2. After opening, Autosave OFF
3. Click Autosave to ON
Onedrive thinks the file is outside Onedrive when opening through Everything UI
Re: Onedrive thinks the file is outside Onedrive when opening through Everything UI
This might occur if Everything is running as administrator.
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:
Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + ESC)
Click Details.
Check the User column for your Everything.exe processors.
There should be two.
One is the Everything Service running as SYSTEM.
What is the User for the other process?
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
- Uncheck Run as administrator.
- Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
- Click OK.
- Exit Everything (from the File menu, click Exit).
- Restart Everything.
Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + ESC)
Click Details.
