Results being omitted in error

I have a strange bug..

If I highlight a number of entries I've searched for, for example, 'bookmarks firefox 2025', I then highlight all the entries and right click (so that I can paste into the parent directory, or paste into a directory, and I then put the focus on another window, every so often, all the entries disappear, and don't show again until I have disabled 'enable result omissions'.

I though maybe the entries had gone into the omission list, but they don't appear there. To get it back to normal I have to use a backup.

It's worth mentioning that my system, Win 7, is quite slow (pending an upgrade to Win 11) and the right click menu on Everything takes a little while to appear.

Check if you are binding any keyboard shortcuts to omit results or temporarily omit results:
In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
about:keys

Hit Ctrl + F and search for omit.

What do you restore from your backup? the result omission list?

I copied a few files over but I think that was one of them.

I looked through the shortcuts, and there are no shortcuts for omit.
As I mentioned, changes don't appear on the omission list, next time it happens, I'll check the text on the commissions file

Temporary omit being activated instead of omit maybe?
-Check if disabling temporary result omissions helps (Index -> Uncheck Enable Temporary Result Omissions)

Debug logs would help catch the issue:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, check Verbose.
• From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Start Debug Logging.
• Reproduce the issue.
• From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Stop Debug Logging.
  ---This will open your %TEMP%\Everything Debug Log.txt in Notepad.
• Please upload this file in a bug report.

Thanks David, I'll send you a debug log.

Even though it does appear to be a problem with temporary omit, when Everything is restarted the files are still omitted.

Also, as I use temporary omit every so often, I'm reluctant to turn it off as the problem doesn't happen all the time.
