How to remove search history from app start-up

I noticed lately that whenever I open EVERYTHING it continues to show the last search I used/entered.

I asked different AIs for solutions and none have worked. I'm not sure if there is a bug with this but I was wondering if there's a bug or something else from preventing the search field from being blank.

Set the home search under Tools -> Options -> Home -> Search.

(Set it to a blank search instead of (Use last value) )



Check your Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> session_store_restore_on_first_new_window setting.
If enabled, your previous session is restored on a new search window.
