if sort Length
then 'Find Length Duplicates'
& two files:
c:/out/1.mp3
t:/out/2.mp3
If you CUT 1 & 2 & paste them to c:/delme/
c:/delme/1 remains, but,
c:/delme/2 is no longer displayed in the results list
is that expected
that a cut/paste across Volume causes the file to loose its' Find Length dupes status?
i'm going to guess that is expected, cause of the 'Find ... Duplicates' & because of the cut/paste - across volumes, it is "seen" as a new file (as it is), but the Find Duplicates says - ah, a new file, we won't deal with that unless the user Refreshes the view...
In Find Duplicate mode should move across volume not be found?
Re: In Find Duplicate mode should move across volume not be found?
It's a limitation with Everything and how Everything behaves with changes to files.
Finding dupes is done once at search time.
Changes made to files will only compare against the current results. (not the entire index)
This is currently done for performance reasons.
Hit F5 to refresh find duplicate searches.
