Filters are not persistent

Post by DavidGDFC »

Hi,

My problem is as follows:

1. While I'm doing some stuff on my PC (on Chrome, for example), I open a new window for Everything using the <CTRL> + <SPACE> shortcut.

2. For my current task, I select the filter to display only folder names.

3. I go back to Chrome, I keep working on my particular task and, once again, I open a new window for Everything with the shortcut.

4. The filter I previously selected is gone and I need to select it again.

And this happens all the time. Whenever I need to open a new window, I need to select the filter again. Everything doesn't seem to remember the filter I previously selected.

It's a silly problem and I apologize if the solution is easy to find.

Thanks in advance.

Please set your default filter under Tools -> Options -> Home -> Filter

Please try the (Use last value) option.

Thanks for your reply.

It was already set to "Use last value", as show in the caption:

Is there anything else I can try?

Please try setting Ctrl + Space to show the window (instead of new window) under Tools -> Options -> Keyboard.

I can see a list with many options, but could you specify the name of the one you're referring too, please?

I found it. Sorry about that. It's quite late here in Spain and my concentration isn't very good now.

Hi,

Just a quick message to confirm that this is the setting that I needed.

Thanks again.
