At the risk of humiliating myself, I'm using Norton AV/360/whatever it calls itself now and it's giving me a warning:
Everything64.exe is attempting to access your login credentials in Chrome application. These credentials include your username and password. What would you like to do?
( Keep blocking ) ( Allow app )
We've temporarily blocked this app to protect your file. To unblock it, allow the app to make changes to your files.
App name C:\Program Files\Everything 1.5a\Everything64.exe
Affected browser Chrome
Password storage path C:\Users\j\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Login Data

I've been using Everything for months now, absolutely love it, and had zero problems. It's probably nothing, but I can't help but wonder why it would bother using web browser credentials for anything. Thanks everyone.

Re: Attempting to access my login credentials?
Everything just looks for filenames, not content.
Please try disabling icon handlers and see if the issue persists:
Copy and paste the following into your Everything search box:
Press ENTER in your Everything search box.
If successful, icon_shell_extensions=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.

Re: Attempting to access my login credentials?
I know nothing of Norton, but it could just be something (as dumb as) Norton monitoring \Login Data\ & anything that tries to access that directory (other then Google itself - & not just the browser, of course, but Google itself
) is marked as "forbidden".
