Remember search term when closed and reopened?

I use Everything from the tray and when I close the main window then reopen it from the tray the search term is reset. Sometimes I just want to close it out to remove it from view for a while but then have to research the term(I know I can use the mouse to go to the remembered history but that is usually slower than just typing it out).

Is there a setting that can save the search between tray activations?

Tools -> Options -> Home -> Search = (Use last value)
