Bookmarks disappear from GUI (1391a)

hi, my bookmarks keep disappearing from the interface. When I restore them they stay in place for a while... then they disappear again (and so on).

Wanted to mention this, since maybe more users experience this.
Apart from that, what could be done against it?

What do you mean with "restoring them..."
Bookmarks are stored in Bookmarks.csv
Where they are stored in your system ?
It depends on portable or non-portable installation.
When they disappear, what is the content or is the file missing ?

hi Horst, the following happens:

-i have a set of bookmarks
-sometimes in Everything they are there under menu 'Bookmarks', sometimes they have disappeared from that menu
-when they are gone I reimport (restore) them from the file (Bookmarks.csv) I have on my pc
-they are then in place, until the next time they vanish
-the Bookmarks.csv file remains intact. The bookmarks disappear from the gui under the menu 'Bookmarks'.

Let me make sure I'm understanding...

So you copy a back copy of Bookmarks.csv into your Everything "profile" directory?

-they are then in place, until the next time they vanish

When they vanish from the Everything Bookmarks menu, then are also gone, the Bookmarks.csv file is missing from within your Everything profile folder?

-the Bookmarks.csv file remains intact. The bookmarks disappear from the gui under the menu 'Bookmarks

The Bookmarks.csv file is in you Everything "profile" folder, but they do not display when you open the Everything Bookmarks menu?


All very odd.
Where is your Everything profile stored

hi all, I have to apologize for posting this thread. I am using Bleachbit, a decent cleaner, with cleaning settings collected by a community of users. There appears to be an entry for 'Everything' in there too (1) and apparently this deletes the bookmarks file (2). So I facilitated the error myself. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, kazzy
