Set custom double-click redirects
Set custom double-click redirects
Redirecting to the file explorer with a double-click on the path definitely boosts productivity, but I’d appreciate an option for that double-click to open the path within Everything as well. The same goes for folders—both the file name and the path currently launch the external explorer, it'd be cool to expand on that setting (attached).
Re: Set custom double-click redirects
For now, you can add a keyboard shortcut to File | Search Path in Everything. Pressing that shorttcut would open the path of the selected item in a new Everything tab:
- Go to Menu => Tools => Options => General => Keyboard
- In the Show commands containing: box, type Everything
- Select File | Search Path in Everything
- Click the Add button
- In the Shortcut key: box, press your shortcut
- OK, OK
Now, when an item is selected, press your shortcut to go to the folder of that item.
- Go to Menu => Tools => Options => General => Keyboard
- In the Show commands containing: box, type Everything
- Select File | Search Path in Everything
- Click the Add button
- In the Shortcut key: box, press your shortcut
- OK, OK
Now, when an item is selected, press your shortcut to go to the folder of that item.

Thanks for the workaround. Unfortunately, I doesn't let me create a shortcut like or that would make more sense than something like . I’m not really a keyboard-only kind of user. Thanks, nonetheless.
