When you drag-drop a folder to a new tab position, it fills the search box with its path and so shows the results.
In fact, on every single occasion, what I would like would be for it to explore the path rather than fill the search bar. I'm sure I won't be alone in this.
It would be ideal if there were a way dropping on the tab line could explore rather than fill the searcher. Either an advanced option "Always Explore when dropped on tab bar" or the ability to hold down a modifier key during drop (so it shows the tooltip "Explore") to achieve this. Same with dropping onto tabs rather between tabs or at the tab position.
Now you can already drop onto the FolderBar title, but that is less sufficient for the following reasons -
* The folder bar may not be open.
* You can't control where the tab appears, whereas dropping you can.
* Dropping on the tab line provides a bigger, easier target area and is usually more central to the eye on the screen; dropping on the folder bar is right at the edge and requires more cautious control of the drop due to its tighter size.
Cheers! David

Re: Folder Drop Searching : Option to Explore when dropping on tabs
Good idea, I like it!
Added to that: dragging a folder or a file to the title bar using the right-mouse button gives a handy context menu 9no need to remember the CTRL/ALT/SHIFT dragging actions).
Adding "Explore in new tab" to that would be welcome too.
