Just being curious, any idea, when the Alpha is upgraded to Beta state?
Just being curious, any idea, when the Alpha is upgraded to Beta state?
Using the 1.5 Alpha for quite a time now, i must say, i find no bugs, no flaws, no crashes. Seems at least beta to me.

Wow, that's a bunch of stuff. Nice work, nevertheless.

Just wanna weigh in now that I'm running into issues with software that integrates with Everything (but has trouble with it being the alpha version): perhaps it's time to change the release cycle?
I'm not a close follower but I have been a user for many years, this is one of my absolute favorite softwares. 1.4 was solid, and 1.5a is just 1.4 with dark mode to me. That dark mode is a must-have for me and probably plenty other people.
The alpha has been a thing for years now, which is unusual. If I look at that todo list, I see years of work for a hobby project. You're not going to delay 1.5 release for all of those TODOs, are you? Why not make a release one feature at a time, like most software today? Move to smaller, but still concrete and meaningful iterations so that releases become smaller and more frequent, and people aren't on a preview versions for years just to use a feature that deserves a minor release on its own.
Localization needs to be up to date for the changes already made of course, but I hope once that's done there will actually be a 1.5, and everything else on that list is for lots and lots of future releases.
I've been using the alpha for a long time now anyway and have never had even a single problem in all my daily usage, it's solid work IMO and a huge part of how I work with files. =)

Thank you for your feedback.
There will be no new features for Everything 1.5.
I am finishing off IPC and localization for a beta release.
Sorry it's taking so long.

That's great! Maybe you can place a link at the alpha page, that points to the new beta section, when it's ready? So we won't overlook the new subforum, in case there's gonna be some.
