I always use ESC to close the current Everything Window.
After the update to version 1357a this was no longer working.
I had to assign it in the Keyboard settings.

Just as shown above, except you use Close Tab instead of Close Window.

Confirmed. Up until v1356a (and including all former stable releases) 'ESC' always closed the current search/file-list window.horst.epp wrote: Thu Oct 05, 2023 7:12 am I always use ESC to close the current Everything Window.

I had to assign it in the Keyboard settings.
v1357a has this assignment broken.

Re: 1357a lost the ESC to close a Window
Indeed yes. Just confirming what I found just today. Thanks @void for clarifying. I reassigned 'ESC' to File>Close window
I have also reassigned Ctrl+T (Always on top) to Ctrl-Alt+T and then:
Ctrl+T == "New Tab"
Ctrl+W == "Close Tab"
To keep consistency with browsers and other tabbed apps.

Re: 1357a lost the ESC to close a Window
Everything 1.5.0.1358a will now map File | Close to File | Close Tab.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Everything 1.5.0.1358a also removes the Ctrl + T binding from the View | On Top Always command.
