Delete (X) button on search bar

It would be easier to have Delete/Remove button on the search bar to delete all text from it.

Your wish is already granted in Everything 1.5:

(if there is no active search, it will show the Everything magnifying glass instead of the "X")

The alpha version is already available (see link).
'Alpha' is a bit misleading here, as it is already quite mature and stable.
A lot of forum regulars (me included) already switched to version 1.5 for daily use. Without issues.


The beta version will be released when ready. There is still quite a bit to do. So: release date unknown.
Same goes for the official release.
