To create a bookmark to toggle your header in thumbnail mode:
In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add to bookmarks.
Change the Name to: Toggle thumbnail header
Change the Search to: /thumbnail_view_header=!
Optionally set a keyboard shortcut.
Click OK.
Opening this bookmark from the Bookmark menu or keyboard shortcut will toggle the header in thumbnail mode.
This might be useful for some users that don't always want to see the header.
More information: /thumbnail_view_header=! is a search command.
You can change your Everything settings from a search.
! is a special value which flips the setting from on to off and off to on.

asamirid, I save these to spread the good word and gospel to other users as it arises. And so I can remember what strange settings I'm using that deviate from vanilla Everything. And one day I'll ask @void to consider making it a default setting.

aha raccoon, i understand now, i also keep my "everything custom settings" snippets in my notes and keep updating it, but i have another primary use for ev bookmarks..
and here is another question .. where can we post and share our best personal ev customization and settings, this knowledge is spread out all over the forum posts here and it should be collected and shared..
Someone else has already created a thread of bookmarks that they share. If you want to add to it, or create your own post as a personal public diary, I see no reason why not. I have one kicking around somewhere that I haven't updated in a while. Just bookmark it so you don't lose track.
In thumb views I tend to use the shortcuts like Ctrl-1 for Name, Ctrl-6 for modified, they are quick to learn if you use them
However it's easy and very effective for thumbnail view to make a shortcut to Advanced Sort so it pops up and you can choose what you want (then Alt-Arrowdown to make the list drop down).
* SUGGESTION: It would be rather handy to have a hidden command that you can make a shortcut to that pops the advanced finder up with the first droplist already dropped-down.

Sounds very useful, but all this gives me is 11 lines from name: through instance:
Nothing about changed settings, although I have some
What is expected?

This is most likely related to the crash with disabling the 1.5a instance.
I'll have a fix soon.
