What does "Date indexed" mean?

What does "Date indexed" mean?

I would assume it meant the date / time of an item it was indexed. But it cannot be like that as the date / time is the same for ALL the items on the same drive. And the time / date cannot be correct for the drive to be indexed.



Is there a column / property showing the date / time of a drive the last time being indexed?

When on clicks on a column, e.g. to change the sort, the result list jumps back to the left and one has to scroll back to the right each time. How could one avoid that?

This is the initial index date.
Not the last time the index was updated.

Forcing a rebuild will reset this date.

It will be the same for all files/folders on a volume.

Disable reset_hscroll_on_search:
Copy and paste the following into your Everything search box:
/reset_hscroll_on_search=0
Press ENTER in your Everything search box.

I'll look into not resetting the hscroll when sorting by default.

Sorry, I cannot tell, I do not know what date indexed means, may be the last indexing or the first one and / or only a complete indexing or partial indexing as well, the first indexing after a drive is plugged in (and completely scanned), etc. I can't infer from the data in the columns either, as I can't get (many) to match the actual indexing. The column for the ALWAYS online drive (screenshot above) shows: 07.06.22. So I do not have any idea what date this is at them moment.

Date Indexed. May be: "Last indexed", "last completely indexed" / "last full index", or "first indexed", "initially indexed", "Index updated", or so.

Everything 1.5.0.1319a fixes an issue with resetting the horizontal and vertical scroll position when changing the sort or search.
