Curious about the transition to non-alpha

When that glorious day comes, will we be able to simply install over or extract over the top of our alpha.exe and carry on as usual or will we need to wipe/lose our settings/db etc?

I'm using the alpha as my one and only at current and if i'm going to need to dump it when it goes release i'd love to know ahead of time.

The Beta/Release will not use a named instance.
This means your settings will not transfer by default.

Your settings will not be lost.
I will write a guide to import your Alpha settings to the Beta/Release.
