Selecting entire row across all columns when have one row selected

To Whom It May Concern:

When I clicked on an item in a column, only that specific item is selected. For example, if the name column something is selected, the date, size, etc will remain unselected. This is very hard to follow since I have a big screen and many results. I have to get a ruler to know the correct item is selected. Would be nice to just have the whole row selected spanning all columns!
