That's a problem due to copyright infringement. Not OSS. It would be feasible with closed-source software, too.

This has since been resolved and their github page is online with release files. Works pretty good. Much closer to the original compared to other forks I've tried.

+1 to open-source not just 1.4 but the main branch
I would be keen to contribute new features
